Mission

Antarctica by Carolyn RashipWe are Baltimore-rooted artists exploring the boundaries of the theatrical experience through interactive concepts. We collaborate with emerging voices and engage the Greater Baltimore community to develop original, innovative works full of risk, joy, and whimsy. We aspire to use creativity as a catalyst for dialogue, outreach, and reflection. As our city evolves, we hope to be a focal point for its artistic growth.

VISION

We envision the development of Baltimore theatre through the infusion of multidisciplinary production elements and an open line of communication between artists and audience members. By thinking of each night as a very specific event, we hope to change the perception of what connects theatre to the Baltimore audience.

VALUES

Let’s break it down.

1. Affordable and Accessible.  As young, explorative artists, we value the idea of trying to keep our art affordable to our audience while also trying to keep our own business values in mind. We want to make sure our art is giving you a reason for every dollar in the ticket price;  if not giving you more value for your ticket, then we’re going to strive to make the experience richer next time you come to the theater.

2. Dialogue. We’re pretty social artists.  If you talk to us after a show – whether in the theater or at a bar afterwards – we’re going to have a rich discussion with you about your experience and how it was reflected in your observations. We’ll make sure we have ways to keep that outlet for discussion open and active!

3. A Hub For Growth. We believe its our responsibility as an ensemble-minded theatre company not to only grow our own artistic vision(s), but to help other budding artists and brewing minds in adapting and progressing their craft.
